Sam could turn his hand to anything.  His interests were wide and varied.  On one of his long stays with us I showed him how he can work out any chord on a keyboard by remembering a few numbers; within a couple of hours he was able to play one of John Denver’s songs using the technique I had shown him.  A couple of years later when I asked him if he could remember the system he did, with no problem at all.  My clever lad!
