Pebbles means a quiet child

Memories of long Summer days on the beach swimming in the warm pools near Doom Bar.  Realising how lucky we were to live in this lovely part of the world I was saddened to hear a little Birmingham boy plaintively ask his daddy if they really had to go home.  Going home for us was easy, we would be back the next day.
When Sam was very young we took him to a pebble beach.. It was the first real peace and quiet we had had since his arrival.  He played with the pebbles endlessly, it was great.  His childhood memories reflected our times by the sea, although Sam thought we went every day, we didn’t, but it shows how a child’s memories are really important even if they are seen through rose tinted glasses.  Thank goodness Sam was able to wear those glasses throughout his short life.
