One of the many wonderful and remarkable things about Stevie was the ability to draw on the different phases and mindsets of human existence. He shared childlike delight and curiosity. He showed a youthful yearning for understanding and justice, a passion for the here and now. He had a great sense of responsibility to friends, family, colleagues and students - blending optimism and realism, always striving to make the right difference. He used experience that most never meet let alone process to build his personal wisdom and feed it back round into childlike wonder again. We are all richer for the times we have shared.
